When we started our house build I knew I wanted to write something on the “bones” of our home just to make it more personal. I had seen other people write their names on their walls and little sayings, but I remembered when they were building our church our pastor asked us to write our names or some scripture on the wall and I loved that idea. So I set out to find some verses that went with each room of the houses as well as some of my favorites just to bless our new home.
Whether you are building a home, buying a new house, or have been living in your home for a while I hope you can incorporate some of these into your home as well or even pray these scriptures over your space. Because let’s be real we all need some Jesus!
For the Entryway:
“You will be blessed when you go in and blessed when you go out”
“As for me and my house we will serve the Lord”
“They broke bread together and ate together with glad and sincere hearts”
“Taste and see that the Lord is good”
“Anyone who listens to my teaching and follows it is wise, like a person who builds a house on solid rock”
“Unless the Lord builds a house the work of the builders is wasted”
“For every house is built by someone, but God is the builder of everything”
“Be fruitful and multiply”
(hey we have to have a little humor haha 😉
“In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, Lord, make me dwell in safety”
“Give thanks to the Lord, for he endures forever”
“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow for tomorrow will worry about itself, each day has enough trouble of its own”
We wanted to keep this home build as least stressful as possible, we know that we will have hiccups in the process but doing this just brought a sense of peace. I love that these verses will always be on the foundation of our home no matter if it is our forever home or not. I have also wanted to share my faith more this year and I hope our construction workers walked in and felt blessed as well.
If you did this to your home or plan to please let me know I would love to see it, also share some of your favorite verses in the comments!
